I remember when...
building a tent in the middle of the living room was an every weekend thing,
A handwritten note was common.
Paper cup phones, anybody???

before Wii Sports & Call Of Duty there was...
Dodgeball, heads up 7 up, recess. Nintendo & Sega Genesis.

Now there's...
e-mail sent directly to the palm of your hand, starting your car before getting to it,
ridiculously high gas prices, HDTV, angry birds, Meals that are done before you get home, talking to your loved ones face-to-face while being thousands of miles apart.

My oh my, how times have changed..my close friends live 1,200 miles away, last time to see them in person was about 2 1/2 years ago but the beauty of texting, facebooking, face-timing, skyping, e-mailing has kept us as close as if we saw each other yesterday.

But I'm sure my parents thought the same thing when they were my age.
They were probably thinking of simpler times.

weird right?

So now I'm off, to pick another Netflix movie for the kids, download another app for my new Droid X, replace the batteries on my wireless mouse and unload the, energy-saving, dishwasher before my slow cooker meal is done :)
